1. What is Operation Green Light?
Operation Green Light is a limited time event where individuals who have outstanding traffic citations, costs and fees that are in collection can pay off those amounts in full, save the collection agency charges and have their driver license reinstated 
if they do not have outstanding violations in other counties in the State of Florida.

2. Why is the Miami-Dade Clerk’s Office doing this?
The Miami-Dade Clerk’s Office is trying to help the thousands of individuals who have outstanding tickets and court fines and fees whose driver license may have been suspended.

3. How can I pay?
Pay in person using cash, personal and cashier checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard or Amex

Pay in Person:
You can visit one of our various office locations from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16th.

Payments made online or by phone are not eligible.

6. How can I find out how much I owe for outstanding Traffic citations?

Please have your driver’s license number ready as you will need it to get the information you want.  

For information on your outstanding traffic citations, please click TrafficUsing the driver’s license number, perform a search on the Driver’s License tab, and you will obtain a list of all traffic citations with the outstanding balances. You may also call our Interactive Voice Response system at (305) 275-1111.   

During Operation Green Light (see day and hours of operation), the balance owed for traffic citations referred to Collection Agencies will not reflect collection agency charges.

Payments sent in the mail will NOT be eligible for Operation Green Light savings. 

7. Can I open a payment plan with the Clerk of Courts to save the collection charges?
Yes, at any of the locations listed above.

8. Can I pay through the mail?
Payments sent in the mail will NOT be eligible for Operation Green Light savings.  

9. How can I reinstate my suspended driver license?
Upon full payment of all outstanding Traffic citations, you can pay the Clerk of Courts the $60 reinstatement fee to reinstate your suspended driver license that same day at the locations accepting Traffic citation payments. However, there must be no outstanding citations in other counties in the State of Florida to reinstate your driver license.  

10. Can I get my late fees waived?
No, all late fees associated with overdue citations are statutorily required, and must still be paid, regardless of whether the citation was referred to a Collection Agency.

11. My citation isn’t late.  Can I still pay it during that day?
Yes, the Clerk’s Office will be accepting all payments for traffic citations.
