12. How do I file a document that contains confidential information?

After reviewing the documents being filed to see if they contain confidential or sensitive information, attach a ‘Notice of Confidential Information within the Court Filing’ as a separate document per Rule 2.420, Rules of Judicial Administration. The form is available in the Documents page of the portal.

13. Do I have to attach the Notice of Confidential Information within the Court Filing if I am filing to a case that is confidential by statute, Administrative Order or Court Order?

Yes.

14. How do I file on a co-defendant case, for example F13-12083B, or how do I file on a Rule to Show Cause cases, for example, F11-29052ZZZ?

There are two ways:

  • Either select the appropriate case from the case list based on the defendant’s name, or
  • In the party identifier field, type the suffix for the case number (for example B000 or ZZZ0).

15. How do I file a subsequent pleading on a Civil Traffic or Criminal Traffic case?

To file a subsequent pleading on a Civil Traffic or Criminal Traffic case, you only need to specify the Miami-Dade Traffic Citation Number (local case number).

16.  Why is my Landlord & Tenant case filed in a different Court?

Effective March 2, 2015, Landlord & Tenant cases will be automatically directed to the County Court location where the property address is located. Administrative Order 04-05 Re-Establishment and Jurisdiction of County Court Districts
