County Recorder's Record Search Hints
Welcome to the County Recorder Official Record Search System.
You may conduct a search for documents based on various criteria
and view detailed information regarding any particular document.
Here is a brief explanation and examples for the fields that are available for entry:
- PARTY NAME
The name of the person or company that you are looking for. When entering a person's name, include
at least the first letter of their first name to avoid extensive search results from last name only entries.
Example: Lastname, Firstname
Example: ABC Vendor
- BEGINNING DATE
The first date you want your search to begin on.
Please enter the year as a 4-digit number.
Example: 1/1/2000
- ENDING DATE
The last date you want to conduct your search through.
Please enter the year as a 4-digit number.
Example: 1/31/2000
- DOCUMENT TYPE
The different types of documents that are filed within the system. Click on the box and a pull
down menu will appear where you may scroll through the documents and select the exact type you would like to search for.
- CFN Number
If you know the exact Clerk's File Number that you are looking for, enter it here. The number
is broken into 2 parts separated by the letter R. There is no need to enter the R, just the 4-digit YEAR then the
SEQUENCE number.
- RECORDING BOOK/PAGE
If you know the Recording Book and Page where your document is recorded, you may enter them
and browse through the documents located there to find the particular document you are searching for.
- PLAT BOOK/PAGE
If you know the Plat Book and Page where your document is recorded, you may enter them and
browse through the documents located there to find the particular document you are searching for. If the Plat PAGE
is a whole number, add a zero to the end of it. If your PAGE includes a decimal, simply drop the decimal point. You may
further refine your search by also providing the Block Number and/or Party Name if so desired.
Example: PAGE 113 as 1130
Example: PAGE 3.1 as 31
For Plat Book A enter 1000 as the book
For Plat Book B enter 2000 as the book

How to enable cookies on various browsers. |
- INTERNET EXPLORER
Version 5.0: Start your browser and click TOOLS in the browser's menu bar to pull down
the menu. Next, click on the INTERNET OPTIONS selection and then click on the SECURITY tab in the following internet
options window that will open. On the lower half of the internet options window, there is a section named Security
level for this zone. Click on the CUSTOM LEVEL button to open the Security Settings window. Scroll down to the Cookies
category under which you will find a section "Allow per-session cookies (not stored)" and select the ENABLE radio
button. If you feel more comfortable knowing exactly what cookie activity occurs, you may select the PROMPT radio
button to receive a warning every time cookie activity is about to occur as well. Then click on the OK button to save
your settings. Click OK once again to leave the Internet Options window.
Version 6.0+: Start your browser and click TOOLS in the browser's menu bar to pull down
the menu. Next, click on the INTERNET OPTIONS selection and then click on the PRIVACY tab in the following
window that will open. Setting the slider bar to MEDIUM will allow cookies to be saved correctly. Alternately,
you may click on the ADVANCED button and override the automatic cookie settings. There you may choose how the first
and third party cookies are handled. However, to properly view our websites, the "Always allow session cookies"
checkbox needs to be enabled. Once you have set your choices, click OK twice and restart your browser to insure your
new settings take effect.
- NETSCAPE
Start your browser and click EDIT in the browser's menu bar to pull down the menu. Next, click
on the PREFERENCES... selection and then click on the ADVANCED category in the following Preferences window that will
open. On the right side of the preferences window, there is a section for cookies. Select one of the first two options
(Accept all cookies, or Accept only cookies that get sent back to the originating server.) If you feel more comfortable
knowing exactly what cookie activity occurs, you may select the optional checkbox underneath the cookies section to
receive a warning every time cookie activity is about to occur as well. Then click on the OK button to save
your settings.
- OPERA
Start your browser and click PREFERENCES in the browser's menu bar to pull down the menu. Next,
click on the ADVANCED selection in the pull down menu and the Advanced Preferences window will open. On the right half
of the Advanced Preferences window, there is a section named "Cookie Handling". In the first list box under the "Cookie
Handling" title, click on the down arrow on the right side of the list box to pull down its options. Click on
AUTOMATICALLY RECEIVE ALL COOKIES in the list box. If you feel more comfortable knowing exactly what cookie activity
occurs, you may select the DISPLAY RECEIVED COOKIES option instead to receive a warning and detailed explanation
every time cookie activity is about to occur as well. Then click on the OK button to save your settings.
